FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT QUINCEANERA PHOTOGRAPHY
Hello. Thank you for considering me as your professional photographer for your very special event. I have included below answers to frequently asked questions about Quinceanera photography.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. My fees are based on the type of package. There is no time limit. I begin with the getting ready pics usually at the Quinceanera's home and finish close to the end of the reception/dance.
How long have you been doing photography?
I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years and specialize in wedding and portraits. I belong to Professional Photographers of America and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. I have also been named as one of El Paso's top five wedding photographers.
What is the free photo session?
With any event package, you receive a free photo session at a location of your choice within a 25 mile radius of El Paso. Individuals often like a park setting. This photo session is done about one month before your event. The shoot takes approximately one hour to one and a half hours. I shoot about 100 pics during that session and you choose about 60 of your favorites and I make a slideshow that you can show at your reception/dance. The show is on a DVD that can be viewed on your computer or hi definition tv. Be sure to check with your venue to see if the hall has a DVD player and screen.
Do you have payment plans?
After the deposit is made you may make payments, and the balance is due the day of the event.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. I accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Texas sales tax is also applied.
Do you offer video?
Since my specialty is "still" photography I work with a professional videographer who specializes in video. With our separate specialties, we can provide you with the highest quality photos and video. The videographer does his own separate billing as do I. If you would like to see samples of our work, we can arrange to be seen together with you to discuss your needs for your event.
How many pictures do you take?
I take approximately 600 to 700 pictures throughout your event. You receive a DVD of all the original digital files (JPGs) and a release form so you can print extra copies of your photos. All the JPG files are full resolution images.
Are you the only photographer?
I often train other photographers who may accompany me and take photos. I carefully screen their photos and use only the ones I approve and those photos remain my property. I do not charge extra for an additional photographer unless the bride and groom specifically request an additional professional. Any extra photos from a photographer in training is just a plus for you.
Do you travel out of town?
Yes I do. There is a fee of $ .65 per mile when driving plus an motel expenses if there is an overnight stay.
Do you print your own photos?
No. All photos are processed by a professional photo lab to assure the highest color quality and longevity.
How can my family and friends see the photos?
I will be passing out cards at your event with an internet site where all the photos will be posted (usually 7days following the event.) The site is password protected and the cards will have the passcode for viewing and/or purchasing the photos. The photos will remain online for 90 days.
When will I receive my photos?
Since you will receive the DVD of all images, you can use the disk to choose the photos corresponding to your chosen package. Once the images have been selected you will receive the final prints within 10 days.
Thank you again for your time and please do not hesitate to call for additional information or to make an appointment to see more of my work. I will be happy to answer all of your questions. It is important to make an informed choice of a photographer for one of the most important events of your life.
